Anyway, a fellow Hoosier and Epinionator has started what looks to be a very interesting and helpful blog.

As of this time, she doesn't seem to be too far into it, so it would be very easy for you to start at the first and catch right up.

Don't let the technical-sounding title fool you. This is far from being dry and has something in it for even people who aren't in the 9-5 business world.

Don't knock it!

It only cost me about twenty-nine cents more than that to buy a package of little gummy fireflies that came with a pair of tongs that light them up when you pick them up, one-by-one. Oh yes! The tongs still work even when you run out of fireflies!

And you can buy two (and almost three) of those wonderful Lindt truffles for a dollar--not to mention even more of those miniature Reece Cups.

So, don't sneeze at a dollar.

Anyway, I just wanted to tell you that I picked up this handy, little gadget (the link below) to share with you.

If you click on this link and decide to go through with joining, I'll be making even more money.

For as long as this campaign is going on (or, at least, that's how I understand it) you get paid for every new member you bring in.

After that (campaign or not) you get paid when the ones you've referred decide to invest in advertising there.

I'm not sure just what other sorts of perks might be yours, but there doesn't seem to be any sort of downers such as hidden fees.

If you see this, it means that everything on the website, itself, has been (for the near future, anyway) completed to the satisfaction of yours truly, and all that's needed now is to just add visitors that will, hopefully, sign my guestbook (even though it isn't required).

My message to people visiting is this:

Just make yourselves at home and check out whatever you might find interesting. With very few exceptions, all links make their destinations open into new windows, meaning that you don't have to even leave the website completely behind in order to take side-trips.

About those destinations...some will already be leading to places that are already going and active. Others will lead to places that are either relatively-new or else absolutely brand-new and not yet developed.

If you were to come back to every last one of those places in anything from a day or so to a week, you would see a lot of exciting changes there.

In short, what I'm offering as of today (March 5, 2006) is a completely built website, some exciting and completed destinations, and the chance to watch construction work going on.

If you happened to be hanging around, you might be noticing a lot of changes going on in my neck of the woods.

New blogs are starting to be developed in different ways.

Old blogs are being promoted more (as in being added to Weblogs.com right along with the newer ones).

If you are, I'm going to enlighten you some...

At this time, I'm building a website that's state-of-the-art (that is, as state-of-the-art as it can be coming from someone who began using The Internet back in 1998 when almost 46 years old--anyway, I'm quite proud of it!), and I'm hooking up various blogs to it.

I'm being very thorough when it comes to building it, so I can't tell you just when it will be done, but I'm hoping that it will be done before the first of next week, and the sooner the better.

When my website opens, I'll be making another announcement here, so be watching for it.

In the meantime--when you have the time and want to--enjoy watching the construction going on...

A Lot Has Happened Since I Wrote Here Last...

I talked to Paul a little bit ago, and he told me that yesterday's matinee (There are two of those per week on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and the theatre is dark on Sundays and Mondays) played to a large, receptive crowd.

It's the evening performances that seem to be, so far, fairly slow.

If they don't pick up, the play will run for another couple of weeks--but, if they do pick up enough to keep things going, the play will finish out its run on December 3.

Paul, Tom (the producer) and the cast have been tweaking it as they go along, so they haven't yet put it into published form.

Paul said tonight that it would definitely play well in a community theatre setting.

He's going to send me a copy of the script (once published--likely, after its run), and will try to send me one or two extras (with two being ideal, because I would have one for myself as a keepsake and for my own enjoyment and the two extra ones would circulate).

Anyway, I was looking around for reviews of the play and, while doing so, came across the neatest blog-site.

Mark and I are going to be putting our heads together this Tuesday (if nothing else comes up), and he's going to be teaching me how to use Adobe PhotoShop on my own so that I can design some brand new items for my online store.

I've been so busy with plugging Paul--plus a number of other things--that I've put my book on the back-burner for a little bit, but plan on getting back on writing it before the end of the coming week.

I've given up on predicting when it will be finished--just say that it will be finished when it's finished.

Both my mom and I are keeping Halloween pretty simple this year, because we haven't had time to go all out and decorate--we're saving that for Christmas--but we'll put out some plastic pumpkins along with some real pumpkins and gourds that will serve as autumn decorations as well.

At this time, we're seeming to focus on tying up old loose ends while getting new ones in to tie up a.s.a.p.

I think that this will be all for here for now--so, I'll catch you over at my newest blog a little later and back here in a day or so with the fun entry that's now in the works!

Hey, Everyone!!!

This is still a Cafepress.com-themed blog, so don't forget to click on some of my links and buttons, grab a few tasty cookies, and shop 'til you drop!

However, at this time, I want a very special friend of mine to steal the show.

His name is Paul Enger, and the way we met was that he was my correspondence school instructor back in 1981 and 1982.

If you would like to learn how me met--and how we met before we even met--I'm going to give you a link to one of my Blogit.com blogs called Friendly Announcements!!!.

If you're already a subscriber to Blogit.com, this will take you right in. If you aren't, you can always join--and, if you join by using this link, we'll both be happy campers!

Anyway, once you've joined (if you do), go to the very first entry I've made there (in that particular blog), and you'll read the story.

Although it was unrequited on his part, I'm by no means ashamed to confess that I fell head-over-heels in love with this guy.

I had it so bad that I even wrote a country song inspired by him called I Want To Be The Baby (In The Cradle That You Rob).

Although we've kept in touch by mail and phone, we haven't seen each other since late 1984, and, a day or so ago (and repeated several times since then!), I got to watch him taking part in an interview.

He's grown older now (but, of course, so have I) but I think that he's even more handsome now than he was back then.

At this time, my sound card isn't working, so I could just watch the interview like a silent movie. But, of course, I know what he sounds like, so I could put his voice with it in my mind (a very soothing, intelligent voice, I might add--those with sound, see if you don't agree with me).

Anyway, his play is one of those experiences that doesn't set out to get in your face but, instead, to take you into its story at a leisurely pace and in a low-key way.

At least, that's the way that I understand it from what I've heard about it.

Paul is going to send me a copy of the script when it gets published in a week or so.

I believe that there are theatres in my neck of the woods that would be glad to have this play done therein.

Also, I believe that Public Television would be glad to have it on their schedule.

Still, I hope that it will be able to go for its entire run On Broadway--but it needs enough of an audience to pay its way there.

If there's anyone reading this who either lives in or near NYC (or else plans to visit there in the near future) and you're looking for one or more plays to attend, please keep In The Air in mind.

And, if you know anyone who lives close to there or plans to travel there, please let them know about this play!

Taking A Side-Trip, Going Off On A Tangent...

Although this blog is a kind of CafePress.com newsletter, I'd like to design this particular entry as an "Up Close And Personal" kind of page that will reach out somewhat from beyond shopping sprees, setting up online stores, etc.

Sure!

I still would like to put in the standing invitation to visit my own online store, Baby Bear AJ's Work-In-Progress, as well as allowing me to take you shopping other places--and keep in mind that I'm always going to be checking out neat places to visit, so be sure to keep current.

But I wanted to share several of the places where I do online writing.

Strolling Around The Neighborhood

I'm still getting this affiliate business figured out bit-by-bit, but it sounds as if it's what I'd imagined it would be.

All I've got to do is something that I love doing anyway--which is discovering other people and plugging them (only, this time, I'm actually going to get paid for it--or have at least a fighting chance to).

Anyway, I wanted to start out by introducing you to some online stores I've discovered.

Were you aware that CafePress.com has a store that's the official store for one of my favorite comic strips (For Better Or For Worse)?

I think it's the official store, anyway.

All I know is that it not only looks really authentic but, also, links to the official website.

I would imagine that I'm going to be doing some serious Christmas shopping there (and otherwise shopping, as well).

Strutting My Stuff

Here's a brief history...

This blog began with this entry on July 3, 2005.

At this time, I'm about to get into an exciting, new program over at Cafepress.com that is known as the Affiliate Program, and it sounds very promising.

Anyway, I'm finding out more about it tonight.

I think what I'll be doing is displaying most of their promotional banners, links, etc. here, alone with whatever goes on the site of my online store, so this blog-entry is being done as a demonstration for the ones in charge of seeing what I'm capable of and where.

So, I'm now going to demonstrate some buttons and banners that will take you to different places at Blogit.com.

First comes a nice, long banner that will take you to the home page:

100 Words Per Day!!!

Something that might be of interest to you is that I've started writing 100 words per day at this site.

Will be doing that through the month of August. I think I'll be gone too much during September & October to keep up with it then, but I want to do it the months of November, December, January, & February.

Currently, I've been adding some new items to my store--but not as quickly as I'd like to be.

Personally, I'm about halfway through writing my next book and will be letting you know when it's finished and in my store.

Vacation Eve (Hopefully)!

If you had asked me back in 1998 if I would know as much as I do now about computers, I would probably say that I doubted it.

Yet, here I am today chugging along on my own home computer and putting better and better items in my online store.

And here I am knowing how to use the notepad function.

Yep! That's right!

See that click-on at the bottom of the page? I decided to see if I could make it more convenient to repeat by creating a notepad page just for it, and I found out that I can do just that!

No more going back into an old blog entry, acting as if I'm going to edit it, and mousing over the part where this is!

My online store is looking better and better, too.

I've added a few items over the past few days and hope to add more later in the week--if not sooner.

But I'm going to be going on a well-deserved road-trip, starting tomorrow.

Have been "about to leave for" this road-trip for I'm-not-sure-just-HOW-long, but I believe I'm finally going to leave tomorrow. If not, I'm going to have to shave it back down to its original two days and one night instead of its current description of three days and two nights.

Mark has really improved my computer, but it can still be contrary at times--as if it senses that I'm trying to get some important stuff done and it wants to hold me back.

However, it has turned out that there have been things I've been needed for closer to home, so it was, likely, meant to be that I get held up.

Now, I'll appreciate my trip even more.

Hopefully, part of the trip will include taking lots of beautiful pictures that will, in time, be added in one way or another to the other items in my store.

Yesterday, I got my business cards from Copy Connection, and they're so beautiful!!!

They have a white background, and my name is done in beautiful, deep-pink letters (unsure of the name of the font but something Fran suggested as a substitute for my original choice of Lucida Calligraphy (which she didn't have available).

Turns out that, for this, I like it even better than Lucida Calligraphy, and I'm really crazy about Lucida Calligraphy.

Will be so glad when I'm able to afford one final item for my computer that will be able to conquer even the worst forms of memory hogging.

A Counter & A Blog--Plus A Whole Lot Of Dreams!!!

You might have either reached this blog from a link I'll be placing at my store (should be up by the time anyone gets around to reading it) or else you have reached this blog by simply going directly there (finding it somehow) and checking it out.

Either way, you're reading this--and, if I still have your attention, I'm going to tell you what I've been up to this morning when it comes to improving my online store.

I now have a counter up and will, before long, have a link going to this blog up.

This blog will be the official blog of my store.

I started another blog ages ago that was supposed to serve that purpose, but its focus has become so scattered that it's more like a blog that will sometimes mention my store but will mostly talk about everything else, while this blog will mostly talk about my store and will happen to change the subject on occasion.

Actually, this will mostly talk about my store, but it will also talk about other things in my life that might come under the heading of business.

Of course, my so-called business is writing--with a dash of music, art, photography, and such thrown in here and there.

So, it sometimes seems as if my so-called business is one big vacation or recess. LOL

If I had my way, I would actually earn a living being creative--and I don't think that's so unrealistic to expect, if I make the right moves. We'll see what happens there...

Anyway, the better--and more widely--I present myself, the more chance there is of that happening, so wish me the best.

As I learn, I'll be glad to share helpful information here, in case anyone reading this is interested.

Think I'll stop yapping for now.

The upcoming week is going to be filled with a lot of activities of interest, and my mind is already telling me: VACATION!!!

Let's Get This Little Show On The Road!!!

It has been over a year since I first set up shop at Cafepress.com, so I want to start out letting you know where I happen to be here in the early morning of July 3, 2005.

When I first started out, I didn't totally understand how all of the decorating options worked--yet, I managed to come up with some pretty decent products.

However, they wouldn't be as "professional" as what I would be making later, so I've now gathered all of those items under one heading (my wooden nickel sale) and have treated them like seconds by making them at least somewhat cheaper than the rest of my items of a similar description.

But rest assured that they're by no means junk, so give them a chance by taking a look at them.

As of the morning of July 3, 2005, I have three of my books written and up for sale, another book in the process of being written, and several other books/book ideas floating around in my brain.

Let me tell you right off the bat that, in order to either buy or sell at Cafepress.com, you have to become a member.

Becoming a member is free and painless--and, while I also have placed some joining links at various places within my shop, it might be nice to go ahead and take care of this step right now by clicking HERE.
